As of 1 July 2018, it is possible to apply for the Water Bonus.
The social water bonus is a measure introduced to reduce the expenditure for the water supply service of a family in an economically and socially disadvantaged condition and is automatically recognised to citizens/family units who are entitled to it, without the need to submit a special application as established by Decree-Law 124/2019, converted with amendments into Law 157/2019.
The social bonus allows not to pay a minimum quantity of water per person per year. This quantity has been set at 50 litres per day per person (18.25 cubic metres of water per year), corresponding to the satisfaction of essential needs.
Direct and indirect users of the aqueduct service who are economically and socially disadvantaged, i.e. who are:

Part of households with an ISEE indicator not exceeding:

8.265 euro;

20,000 euro if with at least 4 dependent children;

Holders of Citizenship Income;

Holders of the Citizenship Pension.

It is an ameliorative facility established at local level.
The ATO of Monza and Brianza, the EGA, together with Brianzacque, has considered that the Integrative Water Bonus can be a concrete opportunity to meet the needs of citizens living in the served territory, who are in conditions of economic hardship, as an additional measure to the Social Water Bonus.
Therefore, as resolved in the Conference of Municipalities of 28.05.2018, a specific item to support this need, quantified at 1 €/inhabitant per Municipality, has been included in the tariff proposal.
